Ubisoft has announced a new e-sports league in Rainbow Six: Siege for the DACH region with the GSA League 2020. The kickoff is on April 25, 2020, with the qualifiers open to all teams from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

A total of eight teams compete in a closed league system with home and away rounds and subsequent playoffs to determine the best RS: Siege team in the DACH region. The twist: While Ubisoft invites six teams directly to the league, two teams can qualify for regular league matches through the so-called Open Qualifiers.
Teams from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland can now register on the official GSA League website for the four qualifier matches. These matches operate on a best-of-one elimination principle. The dates for the qualifier matches, which take place at 6:00 PM German time, are as follows:
The eight best teams of these qualifiers reach the qualifier playoffs, where two finalists are determined through best-of-three matches. The latter will then receive the two remaining spots in the GSA League. The qualifier playoffs will take place on May 3, 2020, at 3 PM.
The point system chosen for the qualifiers is intended to ensure, according to Ubisoft, that the individual results of the played matches play a role in the progress of the tournament tree in addition to the win-loss ratio. The organizers aim to reward consistency.
