In Pokémon GO Raids can currently be much more rewarding for you. However, you need to be diligent first.
Every month, and for some events, there has been the GO-Pass in Pokémon GO for some time now. This is a kind of Battle Pass, which comes in both a free and a paid version. Here you can receive many different rewards such as Pokémon, items, stardust, experience points, or bonuses.
One bonus you can receive in the current pass is really worthwhile if you complete many raids. However, you first need to unlock it and pay attention to a small detail.
Much more rewards
What kind of bonus is it? If you reach level 75 in the current GO-Pass in December, you unlock the GO-Pass Bonus Rank 3. This ensures that you receive additional rewards for raids and Dyna battles when you complete them on-site.
A trainer on Reddit shows what this can look like. He completed 14 Kyurem raids during the raid hour and received, in addition to some other rewards, the amazing yield of 198 rare candies. This averages to just over 14 rare candies per raid.
In one raid he even received a total of 30 rare candies.
How do I get the bonus? If you want to benefit from the bonus, you need to reach Level 75 in the current GO-Pass. You can see your current progress in the “Events” tab.
To make progress in the GO-Pass, you have 2 options. On one hand, you can receive 250 bonus points every day by completing raids (100 points), hatching eggs (40 points), and catching monsters (5 points). You need 100 points to level up.
Additionally, there are daily and weekly tasks that you can complete to earn more points. You can see which ones they are and which ones you haven’t completed yet directly under the GO-Pass.
How long is the bonus active? The GO-Pass and thus the bonus, once you’ve unlocked it, is active until Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
Do I need the premium version? No. If you want to benefit from the bonus, you do not need the paid version of the pass. The bonus is unlocked at level 75 in both the free and paid versions.
Until December 16, 2025, there is an event where another bonus can be unlocked, which can bring you additional regular and XL candies in Dyna battles. However, all trainers need to complete a task first. What this is, you can find out in our information about the Kampflustig event in Pokémon GO.
