The new PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) patch “Week 27” addresses a few issues in the game. In the patch notes, we explain what is happening.
The next update for the battle royale shooter PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be released on Wednesday, September 27, on the game’s test servers. After that, the community will collaboratively test the changes and provide feedback to the developers. If everything goes smoothly, the update will be released on the live servers.
Update: On Thursday, September 28, the patch was deployed to the live servers.
PUBG Patch in September
In the upcoming update, the developers will address several issues found in the current version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Suddenly disappearing shadows or cut-off player names should be fixed with this update.
In the patch notes, the PUBG team explains what to expect. The patch is set to be deployed on the test servers on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. Once the update has been thoroughly tested and runs smoothly, it will then proceed to the live servers. There is currently no exact date for this. The patch is now on the live servers and is approximately 450MB in size. You can find the patch notes below.

Changes to the interface and the fixing of various bugs are the focus of the “Early Access Week 27 Patch”.
UI/UX
- Improved breathing animation in spectator mode
- A new feature has been added to the settings to adjust the zoom in and zoom out speed of the world map.
Bug Fixes
- A bug was fixed that caused shadows to disappear mid-game
- A graphics bug was fixed that affected players who left the game while they were in the starting airplane.
- A bug was fixed that didn’t display the full alias of allies to players.
- The synchronization between aiming players and the displayed targets in spectator mode was improved.
- A bug was fixed that caused ally markers to not display accurately in free-look mode.
After the last big update in PUBG, which added the Mini 14 and foggy weather, this new patch is more focused on fixing bugs.
