To kick off the new season in PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds), there are now more outfits available from loot boxes.
On the night of February 21st to 22nd, a new PUBG update for PC will be rolled out to the live servers of the Battle Royale hit. This will happen around 3:00 AM – then the PUBG servers will be down for maintenance for about three hours.
The update will implement changes to the reporting feature through replays. Also, you will no longer see other players while in the airplane.
So you can soon walk around in a cool retro look, there are also two new loot boxes available.
Militia and Fever Crate – Contents and Chances
The selection of crates in PUBG now also includes the Militia and Fever crates.
You can open the Militia crate for free. There is a 40% chance that this crate will “drop”. For comparison, the developers have shown the drop chances of the other crates:
- Survivor – 10%
- Wanderer – 10%
- Biker – 20%
- Desperado – 20%
- Militia (new) – 40%
The Fever crate can be acquired through the Weekly Crates overview. However, to open this crate, you need an Early Bird key, which can be purchased on the Steam market.
The developers revealed what contents can drop from the different crates and the chances for individual items with the following overview:

PUBG Patch Notes from February 22
Along with the new loot boxes, other areas of PUBG are changing as well. We summarize the patch notes for you:
Airplane / Performance: At the start of a match, you will no longer see the interior of the airplane. This is intended to improve performance. You will see other players when they jump out of the airplane. To avoid disadvantages, you can use a new UI button to show how many passengers are still on board.
Replay / Report Player: If you report another player using the replay function, the developers will receive a 60-second replay file – with footage 30 seconds before and 30 seconds after the reporting point.
Additionally, changes have been made to prevent the shortened heal/boost cheat. You can find all the changes from the new update here in the patch notes on Steam.
