When will PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) be released on Xbox One? According to official statements, everything is proceeding as planned and we can expect the release in 2017.
It has been a while since we heard any news about the Xbox One port for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. The topic came up during Microsoft’s press conference at Gamescom. There it was explained that the release of PUBG for Xbox One is set to take place later in 2017.
It has now been officially confirmed that this release timeframe will be maintained.
Xbox One Release of PUBG
So far, we have not seen any gameplay footage or tests of PUBG on Xbox One hardware. But that doesn’t mean nothing is happening behind the scenes. According to Xbox, everything is going according to plan. This can at least be seen in this tweet that Xbox marketing chief Aaron Greenberg published.
He is excited about the great success and the 2-million-player milestone of PUBG, and he also states, “we are working hard to release the game on Xbox during the holidays.”
By “Holiday,” the period before Christmas is meant, when the Christmas shopping begins. This can be weeks, if not months, before the actual Christmas holidays.
However, PUBG does not have a fixed release date on Xbox One yet. As soon as it is set, you will hear about it here on Mein-MMO.de.
PS4 Release of PUBG?
When a PS4 release of PUBG will occur is still unclear. Recently, Microsoft was still in talks with developer Bluehole to negotiate an extension of the exclusive deal for Xbox.
Microsoft is allegedly trying to prevent PUBG from being released on PS4
