The PS4 version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds launches on December 7. Then you can dive into massive battle royale battles on Sony’s console and play either solo or in a group for the coveted chicken dinner.

At what time does the release start? The launch is supposed to take place right at midnight in the respective regions.

What maps are available on PS4 for PUBG?

At launch, there are three maps available for PS4 players:

Erangel
- This is the first map that was built for PUBG. It is 8×8 kilometers large. The map is inspired by Russian military test areas.
Miramar
- The second PUBG map. It is 8×8 kilometers large, just like Erangel. The theme is the deserts of Central and South America.
Sanhok
- Map number 3 is the smallest of the selection. The play area is 4×4 kilometers. Here you go into the jungles of Southeast Asia.

What content is there?

PUBG launches on PS4 with a full release. This includes custom matches, the ranking system, and the event mode.

Special PS4 bonus

Those who log into PUBG on PS4 starting December 7 can grab a special cosmetic item. It is a blue parachute featuring a pixel art representation of PlayerUnknown.

How long is the promotion valid? So far, no end date has been announced. It seems that PS4 players receive the parachute for free, regardless of when they log in.

Preorder PUBG on PS4 – Differences between versions

There are different bundles that you can still preorder until December 7.

Are there preorder bonuses? Each of the bundles comes with two preorder digital skins: the Nathan Drake desert outfit from the Uncharted series and Ellie’s backpack from The Last of Us. Additionally, preorder customers receive the PUBG avatar for their PSN profile and a design.
