To celebrate the successful launch of PUBG on Xbox, every purchase of an Xbox One X comes with the shooter for free.
For a few days now, you can play the Battle Royale hit “PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds” on Xbox. The success of the PC version is spilling over to the console. As the developers explain, over a million players played on Xbox Game Preview within the first two days after launch.
Microsoft now wants to attract even more players to the shooter and is bringing an enticing offer by the end of the year.
Over a Million Players in the First Two Days
PUBG is THE multiplayer title of 2017. The game was released in March 2017 for Early Access on Steam and has since broken several records. On Steam, it set a new peak for the most players online simultaneously and dethroned Dota 2.
Console fans had to wait until December to enjoy the battle royale shooter on their Xbox. Unfortunately, PS4 players still do not have the option to play PUBG. For now, it’s exclusively available for Microsoft’s consoles.
Over a million players started their PUBG adventure on Xbox within the first 48 hours after its release. And this is despite the fact that the title is still in the preview program on the console, meaning it is not yet finished.
Microsoft also recognizes the success and is now working with potential new players.
PUBG Free with Purchase of an Xbox One X
As a sort of holiday offer, Microsoft is starting a special sale. Those who purchase an Xbox One X now will receive a free copy of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. This offer is expected to be valid until the end of the year.
The Xbox One X bundle with the free version of the preview program edition of PUBG is also available at select retail stores.
