On the PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) test servers, you can now try out Vaulting. Climbing over walls and obstacles still has its issues.
Finally, the battle royale shooter “PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds” is taking its next step and bringing climbing features to the game. These are currently only available on the test servers and should be thoroughly tested there. Players have already found some bugs that allow you to shoot through walls.
PUBG 1.0 – Climbing takes practice
It’s quite strange that PUBG has not had a climbing feature in the game until now. Most obstacles had to be awkwardly circumvented. Now, the system is finally being expanded to bring climbing and diving features into the game.
You can currently try this out on the test servers in PUBG version 1.0, which will be available until Thursday morning. The patch is 6.3 GB in size and can be downloaded via Steam.
Testing the climbing system should have taken place earlier. However, a bug prevented the developers from releasing the patch on the test servers on time. In a blog post, the developers explain that the current test version does not run completely stable. There may be crashes and issues that require restarting the game to fix.
However, they wanted to at least give players the chance to try out the new features for a short time. Even if these are not the best conditions to test all features.
On Reddit, the first players are showing how climbing works and where there are still issues. Player Shroud shows us how to get through the wall with the head (and the weapon):
Other players are just waiting for curious gamers to try out climbing. Happy Vaulting!

Climbing and ballistics have been changed
Among the key points of version 1.0 are the climbing system and ballistics. In addition to overcoming obstacles, they want to make the weapons more realistic. That’s why the developers adjusted precision and hitboxes.
Furthermore, a bullet drop should be more noticeable. The fired projectile loses speed over time. This leads to bullets dropping faster than before. According to developers, the bullet drop should become evident at a distance of about 300 meters.

Is PUBG now making its cheaters play only against each other?
