This evening, on August 26th, there are server issues with the PlayStation Network. All services are offline.
Update 6:06 PM: According to service status, all services are still offline. However, reports are increasing that the online services are back up and running.
Those who wanted to have a relaxed gaming session after work and at the start of the weekend will now have to take a deep breath: The PSN is down. You cannot log in. Neither on PS4, PS3, nor PS Vita.
A few minutes ago, the official PlayStation site reported that all functions are affected: From account management, gaming, to the PlayStation Store. The PSN service status is offline.
However, the developers are working hard on a solution. How long the PSN will remain down is currently unknown.
In the meantime, you can read here which changes are coming to the Trials of Osiris in Destiny . This event starts today at 7 PM. It is questionable whether the issues on PS4 and PS3 will be resolved by then.
