The games for May 2019 from PlayStation Plus have apparently been leaked. It looks like some really great titles are waiting!
Every month, there is a small selection of free games available for everyone who has a “PlayStation Plus” subscription, which can be downloaded from the store. It seems that the games for May have already been leaked in advance. Accordingly, the free games for May are:
- Overcooked
- What Remains of Edith Finch
Update May 1, 5:30 PM – The leak was correct, Overcooked and What Remains of Edith Finch are available as free PS Plus games in May
Where does the leak come from? The leak apparently comes from the Russian PlayStation Store. Some players were able to view the offer early and see in a graphic that the two games are “Overcooked” and “What Remains of Edith Finch.”

What kind of games are these? Both games have received very good ratings and are extremely popular among players. Overcooked has a solid score of 78 points on Metacritic, while What Remains of Edith Finch boasts a fantastic 88 points, making it a top contender in terms of ratings.
For those who don’t find both games interesting, the current “Big in Japan” sale in the PS Store offers interesting games that might fly under the radar for many gamers. In the Deal of the Week, the classic Hitman 2 is also available.
What is Overcooked? Overcooked is a pretty hectic and crazy couch co-op game where you and up to three other players take on the roles of chefs and must serve guests. Ingredients need to be prepared and dishes cooked. Because that would be too easy alone, the levels change and become more and more insane. Sometimes you’ll be working in a burning volcano and sometimes on drifting ice floes that connect different areas of the kitchen. With all the mishaps and funny moments, no eye stays dry.
What is What Remains of Edith Finch? The second title is a must for anyone who enjoys a dense story and a gripping atmosphere. Without giving too much away, the game is a collection of short stories that deal with the various family members of the Finch family. The game has many emotional and touching moments and is likely to bring a tear to those who are “close to tears.”
Both games, should they indeed come, are worth the download in any case. So keep your eyes peeled and consider a “PS Plus” subscription if in doubt.
Do you already own these games? What do you think of the games this month? Is it worth a subscription?
