The new monthly PS Plus games for May 2019 are finally available for download. PS Plus members can look forward to two acclaimed PS4 games, “Overcooked” and “What Remains of Edith Finch.”
Note: If you are wondering why there are no PS3 or PS Vita games: In March 2019, the monthly game lineup for PS Plus changed. Since then, the free games only include PS4 titles.
For the PlayStation 4, these new PS Plus games are available in May:

- What Remains of Edith Finch
As you can see, the leak from the Russian PS Store was indeed correct. Starting Tuesday, May 7, all PS Plus subscribers can download these PS4 titles from the PlayStation Store or add them to their personal library.
Overcooked (PS4)
What is Overcooked? Overcooked is an arcade-style, cooperative cooking game that is especially fun in couch co-op. You must prove yourselves as a master chef in completely crazy kitchen action with up to three other players.
Amid numerous obstacles and various dangers, you must transform your customers’ orders into culinary masterpieces under time pressure as a chef in different kitchens. This includes preparing, processing, and then cooking the right ingredients. Finally, you must serve the meal and clean up the kitchen – all while racing against the clock.
Who is Overcooked suitable for? Pretty much for everyone who enjoys fun and entertaining co-op action. Overcooked is perfect for enjoyable co-op sessions on the couch and brings lots of laughs and crazy mishaps during party nights with your friends. In short: if you love co-op, you can’t go wrong with Overcooked.

What Remains of Edith Finch (PS4)
What is What Remains of Edith Finch? It is an adventure game that focuses mainly on a great, melancholic story and dense atmosphere. You will not find fights or hectic moments here.
As a player, you take on the role of Edith Finch and explore the Finch family home from a first-person perspective. In principle, you experience a collection of short stories and learn more about the various family members. In this process, you experience numerous emotional and touching moments from different perspectives and in a fluid transition between reality, fantasy, and paranoia – accompanied by a great acoustic backdrop.

How do you get these free PS Plus games?
To access the monthly games, you need an active subscription to PlayStation Plus. This service costs you about 60€ per year, but can also be booked or extended monthly or quarterly. In return, you receive two free PS4 games in the PS Store (digital download) every month. You can either download the games directly or add them to your library and play them later.
As long as your subscription is active, you have unrestricted access to these games. If the subscription expires, you will not be able to play them anymore, but you will not lose them. Your progress will also remain intact. If the service subscription is renewed or extended, you can continue to enjoy the PS Plus titles normally.
