Sony recently revealed which new monthly PS Plus games are waiting for all PS Plus members in July. These games are finally here. You can now download the free games Horizon Chase Turbo and Detroit: Become Human on your PS4 or through the PlayStation Store.
In July, you can look forward to the following new free PS Plus games with a PS Plus subscription:
- Detroit: Become Human
- and Horizon Chase Turbo
Originally, instead of Detroit: Become Human, Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 was planned, but Sony changed its mind at the last minute and swapped PES 2019 as the monthly game.
When do the PS Plus games for July 2019 come out? These PS4 games can be downloaded for free in the PS Store or added to your library by all PS Plus subscribers starting July 2. They are now available.
Where have the free games for PS Plus for PS3 and PS Vita gone? Since March, the PS Plus subscription only includes free monthly games for PS4. The PS3 and PS Vita no longer receive free games through PS Plus.
Detroit: Become Human
What is Detroit: Become Human? It is an action-adventure game developed by the French studio Quantic Dream in the style of an interactive film, where the story and free decision-making options with noticeable consequences are particularly in focus.
Detroit: Become Human takes place in the near future. Artificial intelligence has advanced significantly, and androids are a part of daily life. They perform various tasks and assist humans in nearly every aspect of life.
However, some of them go off the rails. Some AIs believe they can feel emotions and thus want to be seen as equals by humans. The peace between humans and androids is on the brink.
As a player, you alternately take on the role of one of the three main protagonists, all androids, and experience their complex story with a multitude of decision-making options and action alternatives that significantly influence the course of the game.

Horizon Chase Turbo
What is Horizon Chase Turbo? Horizon Chase Turbo is a fast-paced arcade racing game and essentially serves as a tribute to classic games like Top Gear, Rush, or Out Run. These titles unmistakably inspired the arcade racer.
With enhanced retro graphics and cool sounds, you can compete against computer opponents or other players in local multiplayer mode with split screen. You have 31 different vehicles available with numerous upgrades, as well as a motorcycle combination, to use on a total of 109 tracks around the world.
Day-night cycles and various weather effects like snow, rain, volcanic ash, or sandstorms affect the track conditions and the handling of the vehicles.
During the races, you collect items like fuel cans to reach the finish line or coins that increase your score. Also, the obligatory use of nitro is necessary to accelerate your vehicle at the right moment and leave your opponents behind. Races start from the last place, and you must fight your way through the competition to reach first place.
Who is Horizon Chase Turbo suitable for? Anyone who loves classic arcade racers like Top Gear or generally enjoys fun, lighthearted arcade racing action will have a great time with Horizon Chase Turbo.

How to get the free PS Plus games?
If you want to grab free games for your PS4 every month, you need a PS Plus subscription. It costs you around €60 per year, but can also be paid monthly or quarterly, which ends up being a bit more expensive in the long run.
In addition to the two monthly PS4 games (as a digital download), there are other advantages. For example, you also benefit from special discounts in the PS Store or gain access to online multiplayer.
If your membership ends or you want to pause for a while – no problem. PS Plus games already in your library remain with you, along with progress – even if the subscription expires. You will just not be able to use these games anymore. If you renew or extend your membership, you regain full access to all your PS Plus content.
