The early access of Project Genom is approaching and will soon be available on Steam.
The NeuronHaze studio has announced that soon you can participate in the early access of the science fiction MMO via Steam. The participation will not be free, but a buy-to-play offer. However, the developers promise that there will be no “hidden purchases” in the game. Your progress will solely depend on your actions in the game and your decisions.
It all begins in October!
On October 12, 2016, the early access launches on Steam, and thousands of players are getting ready. What makes this MMO special is that you can replace your organs if necessary. With medications or drugs, you can enhance the organs or mutate them “easily”. Modifying with high technology is also possible. In which direction you want to develop your character is solely your decision.
The developers also emphasize that Project Genom is not a “typical MMORPG” where you have to farm mobs all day. There is a thoughtful story line, difficult battles, role-playing, and hardcore gameplay. The team was inspired by games like Mass Effect, The Witcher, Deus Ex, and Dead Space. A good mix of these games would surely be epic!
Throughout the story, there are various puzzles that can have unexpected consequences. There is no help through indicators or traces on the ground that show you the way to the next important item or interaction target. You must make all decisions yourself.
In August, there was a major update for Project Genom, which includes the following changes:
- 27 new quests
- Improved character models
- New voices for characters
- Many bug fixes
