A gamer disables one of the most important gameplay elements in Battlefield 6, creates epic scenes, and amazes over 8,000 players.
How does the gamer play Battlefield? The player has turned off all HUD elements in Battlefield 6 during the open beta. He sees no minimap, no team markers, no score, no hit markers, no flags – he sees absolutely nothing that feels unnatural. The player only sees things that a real soldier in war would see.

In what way does he play Battlefield wrong without HUD? Playing Battlefield without HUD is in a way the completely wrong way as it significantly limits the player’s and possibly his team’s chances of success.
The displays showing which team holds a flag, where teammates are, and how much ammunition you have left in your magazine are important gameplay aids without which you are at a clear disadvantage. You basically run blindly into enemy crowds, lacking crucial information.

“It’s quite impressive. Feels like a ‘movie mode’. I definitely play worse when I have less information. But it’s still super fun.”
Subsequently, the player added that he would like to see that as a separate mode where everyone could play with this setting: “It would be great as its own mode so that everyone would be on the same level. I would play it a lot.” Such a mode would be fairer and would eliminate the disadvantages of the setting.
Other players commented that they like the idea. Some write that someone needs to create a hardcore no-HUD mode in Portal as soon as the game is released. Others hope that something like this will appear as an official mode.
How would this mode work? Without HUD, Battlefield 6 would be almost like a military simulation. While there would still be important realistic aspects missing that exist in so-called ‘milsims’, it would stray further from arcade shooters.
