Starting August 4, 2025, at 5:00 PM, you can pre-download the beta for Battlefield 6. This will get you ready for the upcoming testing phase.
When will the beta take place? The beta itself will take place in several phases:
- Early Access – Closed Beta
- From August 7, 10:00 AM CEST to August 8
- First Open Beta (no code required)
- From August 9, 10:00 AM CEST to August 11, 10:00 AM CEST
- Second Open Beta (no code required)
- From August 14, 10:00 AM CEST to August 17, 10:00 AM CEST
To participate in Early Access or the Closed Beta, you must have registered at Battlefield Labs before July 31, 2025. Alternatively, you could receive access codes through Twitch Drops during the Multiplayer Reveals.
The beta will take place on all available platforms; you can participate on Steam, Epic Games, EA App, PS5, or Xbox Series X|S. Whether crossplay will be part of the beta is still unclear.
Depending on which content you want to download (you can choose this!), you should free up between 55 GB and 80 GB of storage space on your hard drive.
4 maps, 4 classes, 4 modes, and a lot of rewards
What can you expect in the beta? There will be 4 variants of everything your heart desires in the beta. You can take on the roles of Assault, Support, Engineer, or Recon to give your opponents a hard time on the maps Liberation Peak, Empire State, Siege of Cairo, or Iberian Offensive.
You can choose from four different modes: Domination, Conquest, Squad Deathmatch, or Breakthrough. If you choose to play during the two beta weekends, you can also earn various rewards. It won’t be long until the first beta weekend. However, the full release is still a while away, as it will only take place on October 10, 2025.
