Are you looking for the best decks in Pokémon TCG Pocket? In this tier list, you will find strong meta decks that you can use to challenge your opponents – including of course the latest cards from the expansion Dimensional Crisis.
What makes the best decks in Pokémon TCG Pocket?
The ex-cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket are particularly strong Pokémon. They are so powerful that defeating one of these pocket monsters gives you 2 victory points instead of just one. It’s no wonder that the strongest decks are built around the ex-cards. However, there are also a few decks that function without the powerful ex-cards.
So you can assess which decks you should use in battles, we have created a tier list for you. Based on this, you can see which decks are well suited for combat and which ones you should only use in emergencies.

What is a Tier List and how was it created?
What is a Tier List and how was it created? In the Tier List, individual decks are categorized into letters. In this case, S stands for the best deck, followed by alphabetical order. A is the second-best tier, B the third-best tier, and so on.
C-Tier: Here you find less popular decks of the current meta. They may appear rarely, but they cannot compete with all other decks in the article.
S-Tier: These are the best decks of the current meta. They can adapt to various opposing decks. You frequently encounter these decks in PvP mode. They also secure the top spots in tournaments.
A-Tier: These are popular decks that have solid performance. They can partially compete with S-Tier decks but have greater weaknesses. You still encounter them in tournaments and PvP mode.
B-Tier: Here are less popular decks that can still win despite their weaknesses. However, these weaknesses can be easily exploited. They are hardly represented in PvP mode and tournaments anymore.
The tier list is based on personal experiences as well as the lists from game8.co and pokemon-zone.com. Additionally, we look at the results of the latest tournaments every two weeks. It is relevant for us which decks were able to achieve victory in a tournament (via Pokémon Meta). If you have had different experiences or have suggestions for improvement, let us know in the comments!
To help you find the meta deck you’re looking for faster, you can search for it in the following table of contents.

What kind of list is this? Below you will find the tier list with all the decks that were created around an ex-card. We will also write which cards we would recommend for each deck. Of course, there are other variations that you can try out.
Additionally, we have summarized ex-cards that would complement each other well. S-Tier is considered the best rating in this list, while D-Tier is the worst.

What are the strengths? Magnezone also works in the Dark deck as Magneton powers itself up once per round with its ability, even if you don’t generate electric energy. Magnezone and Darkrai-ex are both strong attackers. Shardrago, on the other hand, acts as a blocker and buys time to power up Magneton or deal damage from the bench through Darkrai-ex’s ability.
What are the weaknesses? It can take time to fully charge Magnezone and get it ready. It has 2 pre-evolutions and requires 3 energy points.

What are the weaknesses? The strategy of requiring little energy can easily be countered. Pokémon like Kokowei-ex, which also require little energy but have more HP and deal more damage, have the advantage.
Articuno-ex & Starmie-ex

- 2x Articuno-ex
- 2x Staryu
- 2x Starmie-ex
- 2x Eevee
- 2x Vaporeon
- 2x Misty

What are the strengths? Similar to the deck surrounding Pikachu-ex and Zapdos-ex, all Pokémon require little energy. Additionally, none of the Pokémon have a stage evolution. This guarantees a quick start.
What are the weaknesses? Unlike Elezeba, Pachirisu-ex is a basic Pokémon but requires one more energy point and equipment to deal significant damage. Otherwise, it is a weak Pokémon that often needs to be swapped out after one hit from strong opponents.

- 2x Dialga-ex
- Mew-ex
- 2x Pokéball

What are the strengths? Yanmega-ex compensates for the missing damage from Dialga-ex and complements with the colorless energy, just like Mew-ex. This metal Pokémon provides the needed energy for the other two ex-Pokémon.
What are the weaknesses? Due to the high energy costs, the deck has a disadvantage against monster cards that are quickly deployed, such as the decks with Pikachu-ex.
Panzaeron & Magnezone

- 2x Panzaeron
- 2x Magnetilo
- 2x Magneton
- 2x Magnezone
- 1x Heatran

- 2x Riesige Robe
- 1x Zyrus
- 2x Sabrina
- 2x Forschung des Professors

What are the weaknesses? Magnezone is a Stage 2 Pokémon and takes time to evolve. Heatran also has the disadvantage of hurting itself. The most successful tactic is to end the match in a few rounds with Panzaeron.
Dialga-ex

- 2x Melmetal
- 2x Mew-ex
- 2x Leaf
- 2x Giovanni
- 2x Lucia

What are the strengths? Melmetal is designed for defense and can be powered by Dialga-ex. Thanks to Mew-ex, the deck is also flexible.
What are the weaknesses? Dialga-ex and the other Pokémon in the deck deal relatively low damage compared to others. Therefore, it is only a matter of time before you face decks that build up over time.
Panferno-ex

- 2x Panferno-ex
- 2x Lavados-ex
- 2x Pokéball
- 2x Pokémon Communication
- 2x Giant Robe
- 2x Lucia

- 2x Pokéball
- Red Card
What are the strengths? Mew-ex is a flexible fighter thanks to its attack and adapts to the opponent. It can be switched out quickly due to its retreat costs and the Adventurer-Apprentice.
What are the weaknesses? It takes time to rebuild a returned Mew-ex. Mew-ex needs 3 energy markers to copy an attack.

- 2x Rasaff
- Marshadow
- Giovanni
