The mobile game Pokémon TCG Pocket celebrates its 1st anniversary at the end of October 2025. To celebrate the day, there will be an update for which the developers are announcing several changes.
What kind of update is this? On October 30, 2024, the mobile game Pokémon TCG Pocket was released. For those too lazy for Pokémon GO or who simply want to collect digital Pokémon cards, this mobile game is perfect. The game quickly became very popular, especially with my editor Jasmin Beverungen.
This year, the game is celebrating its 1st anniversary. The developers have announced a major update for this occasion. It includes several smaller changes: both revisions of existing features and new future options.
Anniversary update brings many changes
What are these changes? The developers announced the following in a post on X:
- New sharing feature: You can send a card of rarity levels 1-4 to your friends daily.
- Revised Wonder Draw feature: You will have a higher chance of drawing missing cards from the new expansions in Wonder Draw. This way, you can add missed cards to your set faster. Additionally, the current number of cards you own from the set will be displayed.
- Improved trading mode: Cards from the latest booster can also be traded, and overall more cards are allowed for trading.
The goal is to make it easier for players to complete their collections. This is a direct response to some players’ criticism.
It has been noted that it is difficult to fully obtain an expansion when new boosters are released very frequently. After all, there are currently a total of 11 expansions.
Additionally, a new booster pack is also set to be released, which will primarily include Mega Evolutions. More information about this will be provided separately.
