In Pokémon TCG Pocket, a new mini-set is launching. With Mythical Island, new Pokémon and Trainer cards are entering the game. To ensure you are well-prepared for the release, MeinMMO has a few tips for you.
What kind of booster is this? Mythical Island has a total of 80 cards. The major stars of the new booster are Mew-ex and Aerodactyl-ex. There will also be completely new Pokémon like Dedenne or Serpifeu.
This also means that you can open 2 boosters every day (with the Premium Pass, even 3) and face new challenges. To be as well-prepared as possible for the new mini-set, you should consider the following points.

5 Tips for the Perfect Start of Mythical Island
Prepare Decks for the Challenges
In the new challenges, decks revolve around Mew-ex and Aerodactyl-ex. Mew-ex has Darkness as its weakness, while Aerodactyl is particularly vulnerable to Electric attacks. Therefore, build a deck around Arbok and Smogmog or Pikachu-ex.
Alternatively, you can also take other Pokémon that are effective against Psychic and Fighting types. Mew-ex and Aerodactyl-ex will be in a deck with Pokémon of the same element. Therefore, you can fill your Darkness deck with Steel Pokémon. You can complement your Electric deck with Psychic and Grass Pokémon.
Stockpile as Many Pack Hourglasses as Possible
To open as many boosters as possible right from the start, you should have been saving your pack hourglasses recently. If you still have some in reserve, it’s best to keep them. Additionally, you can acquire new pack hourglasses for your shop tickets, which you hopefully have saved up as well.
This does not apply to pack points: Each booster has its own pack points. You can spend them to obtain cards in “Unbeatable Genes”. You should spend the pack points at least by the time the current boosters are replaced by new ones.
Don’t Make Wonder Choices Anymore
The same as in point 2 applies to the wonder choice. You should collect the corresponding hourglasses to open boosters from friends who have already drawn cards from Mythical Island. You can also use your shop tickets to exchange for this type of hourglass.
Also, do not make wonder choices anymore. Otherwise, you will consume wonder stamina and won’t be able to draw your friends’ cards right from the start.
Use Your Free Premium Pass
If you haven’t redeemed your Premium Pass yet, now might be a good time. If you prefer the cards from the mini-set over those from “Unbeatable Genes”, you can open one more booster per day.
Alternatively, you might consider purchasing the Premium Pass. However, you would then need to spend 9.99 euros for one month.
Complete Challenges You Haven’t Done Yet
If you haven’t paid attention to the PvE mode of Pokémon TCG Pocket so far, now would be the right time. In the CPU battles, you can collect additional hourglasses and shop tickets to open as many boosters as possible at the start.
