In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is the Tera Raid with Titan Quajutsu playable. The first players have already successfully completed the challenge and shared their methods. We at MeinMMO provide you here an overview of various strategies that players could use to defeat and catch Quajutsu, as well as the attacks that the Titan Pokémon uses during the raid.
What attacks does Quajutsu use? Titan Quajutsu uses its additional attacks “Double Team” and “Toxic Spikes” at the beginning of the battle.
- Ice Beam
- Hydro Pump
- Nightslash
- Garbage Hit
- Additional Attack Double Team (so your attacks hit less effectively)
- Additional Attack Toxic Spikes (poisons your Pokémon when they respawn after a K.O.)
What should you consider with Quajutsu?
- Quajutsu resets your status values after the third round.
- Quajutsu has the nature “Mild”, which gives it a lowered Speed value and an increased Special Defense value.
- Quajutsu is a Special Attacker, which means that its Special Attack value is higher than its Attack value and it predominantly has special attacks.
Vaporeon in Water Ring against Quajutsu
What kind of strategy is this? The perhaps most effective method on this list uses a Vaporeon with the ability Water Absorb, the move “Water Ring” for HP regeneration, and a Stored Power strategy.
The move “Stored Power” becomes stronger with each stat increase of your Pokémon and consequently deals high damage. This strategy was introduced by the YouTube channel RageGamingVideo.
What do you need for this strategy?
- Vaporeon at Level 100
- 252 EVs in HP, 252 EVs in Special Attack
- Nature: Mild
- Ability: Water Absorb
- Moves: Acid Armor, Water Ring, Calm Mind, Stored Power
- Item: Leftovers
- Tera Type: Irrelevant/ not used
How do you proceed with the strategy?
- Use Acid Armor (1x)
- Use Water Ring (1x)
- Stored Power
- 3x Acid Armor
- 6x Calm Mind
- Call Move
- Use Stored Power to defeat Quajutsu (about x3)
What do you need to consider with the strategy? If you are very unlucky, meaning really extremely unlucky, then Quajutsu can hit you three times in a row with a critical hit and defeat you with the third. If you want to make sure you are not defeated after the second critical hit, use the Life Call to restore Vaporeon’s HP.
Gastrodon with Stored Power against Quajutsu
What kind of strategy is this? The second strategy also uses the move “Stored Power” and is already known from the Tera Raid with Titan Cinderace. However, against Titan Quajutsu, you use a different item and should teach it the move Daybreak. You can see the strategy on the YouTube channel Osirus.
What do you need for this strategy?
- Gastrodon at Level 100
- 252 EVs in Special Attack, 252 EVs in HP
- Nature: Mild
- Ability: Irrelevant/ not used
- Moves: Healing Wish, Iron Defense, Stored Power, Daybreak
- Item: Leftovers
- Tera Type: Psychic
How do you proceed with the strategy?
- Use Iron Defense and Daybreak until Quajutsu resets the values
- Use Iron Defense (3x)
- Use Healing Wish (3x).
- (If Gastrodon has low HP in the meantime, you must use Daybreak to ensure that it does not get defeated.)
- Use Stored Power multiple times to defeat Quajutsu
What do you need to consider with the strategy? Gastrodon must primarily watch out for the highly effective move Nightslash, although it should survive several hits due to its high Defense.
Additionally, Quajutsu resets your values after 3 rounds. Until then, you should increase your defense with “Iron Defense” and keep your HP high with “Daybreak.” The goal is that Quajutsu cannot defeat you with the following attack after resetting your values.
Clavion with Strolch against Quajutsu
What is this strategy? The Clavion strategy is also based on the move “Stored Power.” The strategy comes from the YouTube channel OG DNZ and makes use of Clavion’s Steel type. This means Quajutsu’s Poison attacks have no effect, and Nightslash only deals low damage.
What do you need for this strategy?
- Clavion at Level 100
- 252 EVs in HP, 252 EVs in Special Attack
- Nature: Mild
- Ability: Strolch
- Moves: Iron Defense, Metal Sound, Calm Mind, Stored Power
- Item: Leftovers
- Tera Type: Irrelevant/ not used
How do you proceed with the strategy?
- Use Calm Mind (x2)
- HP regeneration through Life Call
- Use Calm Mind (x6)
- (If necessary, use Iron Defense (2x) to further increase the strength of Stored Power)
- Use Stored Power multiple times to defeat Quajutsu (if necessary, use Life Call again to regenerate HP)
What do you need to consider with the strategy? As with all Stored Power strategies, your Pokémon should not be defeated, as then the increased status values will reset. So keep an eye on your HP and use the Life function to regenerate health when the leftovers are not sufficient.
Do you know any other strategies that have worked? Please feel free to write them in the comments and tell us which Pokémon you used for the Tera Raid!
