In the Pokémon Presents, new information and images about Pokémon Legends: Z-A were shared. This includes a new Mega Evolution and details on how the feature develops.
In the Pokémon Presents from July 22, there were plenty of news regarding Pokémon. An important part of it featured the new Legends: Z-A, which will be released on October 16, 2025.
In the Presents, Illumina City was showcased in detail, battles were seen, various Pokémon, your friends, your opponents – and plenty of Mega Evolutions, which will obviously play an important part in the game.
And there was also a new one: Mega Dragonite.

Mega Dragonite and other Mega Pokémon will be important in the game
This is Mega Dragonite: The Dragon Pokémon Dragonite finally receives its Mega Evolution, after it didn’t get a Mega Stage during its initial release unlike other pseudo-legendary Pokémon like Tyranitar, Metagross, Garchomp, and Salamence. No wonder its name kept coming up in discussions about which Pokémon should receive a Mega Evolution.
The new design leans somewhat towards its pre-evolution Dragonair. The feathered wings on its head and the pearl on its tail match this.
What are the Mega Pokémon doing in Legends Z-A? Apparently, they are having really bad moods, as there is a “Mega Mania” evolution in the new game, where some Pokémon just undergo it without trainers. They are causing chaos in the city – and must be stopped by you.
However, this does not seem to be so easy, as you need Mega Pokémon to fight against the powerful Pokémon, and apparently also support from the team you join in Legends: Z-A.
