The field research in March 2019 in Pokémon GO is the same as in the previous months. Nevertheless, some of them are particularly worthwhile. We will tell you which ones they are.
These are the quests: The field research that we present to you is particularly rewarding. They involve either rare Shinys or strong Pokémon.
In addition, we will give you tips on how to complete this field research in the best way possible.
How long will the quests last? The field research will last throughout March and likely into April. However, we are still awaiting confirmation from Niantic.
These are the best quests in March 2019
1. Use 1 item when evolving Pokémon: From this task, you get the chance to catch a shiny Aerodactyl. This Pokémon is particularly rare in the wild, and currently, there is no Aerodactyl in raids. The shiny is therefore particularly rare, and the quest offers you a good opportunity to catch it.
The quest is even more worthwhile if you have it in your inventory 2 or 3 times. Then you only need to use a evolution item and you can complete all quests at once. Here, the Sinnoh Stone can be effectively used.
2. Use 5 berries when catching Pokémon: If you find this quest, you could encounter a shiny Fukano. Fukano is quite rare in the wild, so shiny versions are relatively few among players.
The quest is best suited if you immediately do a legendary raid right after. There you will probably use berries when catching anyway, and the quest will be completed quickly.
3. Evolve a Pokémon: In this quest, you will encounter a Sunkern or Eevee. The latter is not so interesting, but Sunkern is a very rare shiny.
4. Catch 5 Fighting-type Pokémon: This quest rewards you with a Magnetilo. Outside of the then-current event where shiny Magnetilo was released, there is hardly a chance to encounter this Pokémon.
The quest is best completed in cloudy weather. Many fighting Pokémon come out then, and especially Mankey will help you complete it. But Glibunkel or Machollo are also quite common and useful for the quest.
5. Catch 10 Ground-type Pokémon: This quest is probably the most interesting. Here you get the chance to catch shiny Sandan. This Pokémon is rare outside of events, so shiny versions are highly sought after.
As a ground Pokémon, especially Schmerbe is a good option. It is quite common and counts for the quest. But you will also encounter Quiekel more often.
6. Land 3 great throws: Here you will encounter a Nebulak. This Pokémon can also be shiny since the Gengar Day but has never had an event. It is therefore very rare.
The downside of this quest is that two other Pokémon, Anorith and Liliep, can also come from the task. However, these could also still be useful for the Meltan special research.
7. Send 2 gifts to friends: Here you will definitely receive a Nebulak, as there are no other Pokémon as rewards.
8. Land 3 superb throws in a row: This quest is quite tricky, but rewards you with a Larvitar. This can not only be shiny but also evolves into a extremely strong evolution with Tyranitar.
To achieve superb throws, look for Pokémon with large catch circles. These include Pokémon like Pantimos, Makuhita, or even Dialga. Then throw a Nanab Berry to ensure the monster doesn’t move.
9. Win 5 gym battles: In this quest, you will encounter a Lapras, which is not a possible shiny, but this Pokémon is very rare in the wild, and it is advisable to possess a strong specimen.
10. Hatch 5 eggs: If you complete this field research, you can catch a Chaneira. Both Chaneira and its evolution Heiteira belong to the best defenders in the game.
Make sure to use super incubators as well. They shorten the distance of eggs and help you reach your goal faster.
11. Spin 10 PokéStops or gyms: In this quest, you will not receive a Pokémon but instead 5 silver Nanab Berries. These berries can otherwise only be obtained from Adventure Sync and special research. They are therefore very rare. The berries will help you catch rare Pokémon.
