In Pokémon GO you can now get Granforgita, which is not easy. But: The effort is worth it.
How do you get Granforgita? Granforgita is the final evolution of Forgita, which is available for the first time in the current event. The problem is: You can’t just catch Forgita.
Instead, you must hatch it from 7 km eggs that you can receive from friends during the event. This means:
- You need a 7 km egg
- You need luck for a Forgita to be inside
- You have to walk to hatch the egg – and if it doesn’t work, you can try the next one right away
- But at least the half-distance bonus is running – so it’s only 3.5 kilometers per egg
- After the event, you can get Forgita from 10 km eggs.
However, if you’re lucky enough to get a Forgita, you’re still not done. Because to get Granforgita, you first need to evolve Forgita into Tafforgita for 25 candies, and then into Granforgita for another 100. You also need to collect the candies first.
All in all, it’s quite an effort. But especially for those who like to play PvP, it should still be worth it. Because Granforgita is incredibly useful.
How strong is Granforgita in Pokémon GO
Granforgita’s strength lies in the PvP league. In the battle league, it ranks high on the list of best monsters you can play. This is reflected in the rankings from PvPoke, which are based on fight simulations.
- In the Super League, Granforgita moves directly to seventh place among the best Pokémon
- In the Hyper League, it is even the fifth-best Pokémon
- In the Master League, you should ignore it, as it does not become strong enough in terms of CP
Granforgita’s strength consists mainly of the following points:
- Its type combination of Fairy and Steel offers an extremely good defensive combination. Only two types are very effective against Granforgita: Ground and Fire. It has resistances against 11 types.
- At the same time, it has good defensive stats. In short: Granforgita can take a lot of hits.
- Additionally, it comes with a solid moveset that can put many opponents in a difficult position. It can combine Fairy Wind with moves like Steam Roller, Cuddler, or Ramming Boss.
This makes it a good counter against many Pokémon that are in the battle league. Popular Pokémon like Calamanero, Epitaff, Piondragi, and Lapras will have trouble with Granforgita.
This means: Yes, it takes quite an effort to get Granforgita. But it’s worth it. At least if you enjoy playing in the battle league.
