In Pokémon GO the new event “Voldis Paw Prints” is happening. This brings Voldi, Bellektro and three Pokémon with increased shiny chances.
When does the event run? Voldis Paw Prints starts on June 20 at 00:00 and runs until Sunday, June 22 at 23:59. So you have almost exactly three days to take advantage of the bonuses.
These Pokémon you should catch: First of all, of course, Voldi. The little electric dog is the star of the event and a new Pokémon that you can secure. It simply appears in the wild, but currently cannot be shiny.
Catch a few specimens, as you will also get the necessary candies for the evolution into Bellektro. You need 50 candies to perform the evolution.
Additionally, there are currently three Pokémon with increased shiny chances roaming around. So grab every specimen of the following three Pokémon:
- Snubbull
- Fiffyen
- Coiffwaff
Further bonuses: You will receive double stardust for every Pokémon you catch. Additionally, there is a new limited research every day. On June 20, you will encounter Fiffyen, on June 21 Coiffwaff, and on June 22 Snubbull. On top of that, completing it will bring 3,000 XP and 1,500 stardust.
The most interesting Pokémon remains Voldi, as you can continue to fill your Pokédex with it. But is it strong?
How strong are Voldi and Bellektro in Pokémon GO
Is it worth catching? Basically yes, because you should always catch new Pokémon. However, if you are looking for strong attackers, Voldi is not your best choice. And neither is Bellektro.
Both Pokémon belong to the electric type, but neither stands out as a raid attacker. Rather check the list of best attackers in Pokémon GO to select your fighters.
And also in the PvP league, things don’t look good. As of now, Bellektro ranks 945th in the ranking of the best PvP monsters in the Super League from PvPoke, which is really not good at all. Voldi doesn’t even manage to make it into the ranking.
In the Hyper League, Bellektro actually makes it to rank 646, which is better than 945, but still very weak. In the Master League, it doesn’t appear at all.
So, in short: Both are really not strong and shouldn’t be planned as fighters right now. Of course, you should still catch them for the complete Pokédex. Also, they are cute electric dogs, which is of course an argument for the collection. Soon, more Pokémon will come into the game. Which ones?
