The new update for Pokémon GO makes changes to gym takeovers and introduces daily bonuses into the game.
The roll-out for the new update of Pokémon GO has begun. This means that some trainers will have to wait a bit longer for this patch than others. Gradually, this patch will be released in different regions. When exactly the patch will be available for all trainers in Germany is currently unknown. However, you may be able to download update 0.45.0 for Android or 1.15.0 for iOS in a few days. The wait for this update is worth it, as there are positive changes regarding gym battles.

Pokémon GO Patch Notes 0.45.0 Android / 1.15.0 iOS
On the official “Pokémon GO” website, the developers announce the following changes:
- Daily bonuses: There are now daily bonuses for your first Pokémon catch and PokéStop visit.
- Gym: If you defeat the opposing gym leader, there is now a short period during which only you can place a Pokémon in the empty gym.
- Gym prestige: If you defeat a regular gym member, the opposing gym now loses more prestige.
- Gym prestige: The prestige gained during training has been reduced.
- Minor text corrections
With this patch, the daily bonuses are now active, which you can receive while playing Pokémon GO. These rewards include Stardust and experience points, as well as various helpful items. The changes to the gym will likely please some fans. If you fought hard for a victory against a gym leader, your place in the gym is now finally secure. In the various “Pokémon GO” groups on Facebook it was often mentioned that trainers have fought a gym leader and another trainer quickly took the place. This gameplay is no longer supported.
