A trainer has apparently pulled the holy grail among Shinys in Pokémon GO. With a probability of 1 in 17 million, he was unbelievably lucky.
This is what happened: The Twitch streamer AwesomeAdamTV showcased a few remote raids live on Twitch, while experiencing something that probably hasn’t happened to any of us in our Pokémon careers.
He caught 2 Shiny Darkrai in a row, both of which have 100 % IV. When you add it all up, you get a probability of 1 in 16,842,816.
Incredible luck in Pokémon GO – Trainer can’t believe it
This is the clip: The streamer posted the video of his luck on Twitter, where he received many congratulations:
Under the video, the Pokémon community’s celebrities gather to congratulate the trainer.
This includes the Belgian trainer Jeroen, who recently achieved a crazy goal with Pokémon from the 1st generation.
In addition, HelsinkiTrolli writes, “You have won the game.” He already has over a million catches and leads various leaderboards. He always shines again when it comes to the topic of Shinys.

How likely is this Shiny luck? Pokémon GO itself does not disclose Shiny rates. Diligent trainers have figured it out themselves.
A Shiny in the legendary raid has a probability of 1 in 19. The chance of a 100 is 1 in 216. When you add that up, you get a chance of 1 in 4104.
That already sounds like a lot, but now you have to consider that the trainer had this luck twice in a row. When combined, you get the incredible probability of 1 in 16,842,816.
How does the trainer react to it? He couldn’t believe it when he saw the first Shiny with 100 %. He even asked, “That’s not a hundred, right?”
With the second Shiny with 100 %, the shock was truly written all over his face. He then incredulously asked, “Another Shiny hundred?”
The trainer’s luck is definitely incredible. However, he still can’t win the lottery jackpot with that. The chance there is 1 in 140 million.
