This trainer has managed to catch (almost) all available Pokémon in Pokémon GO.
We need to clarify here and cannot refer to “all” as the 3 Legendary Birds, as well as Mewtwo, Ditto, and the region-dependent Pokémon have not been caught. Aside from that specific Pokémon, he has caught “all” – and that is quite an achievement.
142 Pokémon in the Pokédex!
According to a post on Reddit, the user “ftb_hodor” has managed to find and catch a total of 142 different Pokémon. He reportedly walked a total of 153.2 kilometers according to the app, hatched 303 eggs during that time, and caught a total of 4629 Pokémon along the way. His fitness app, which was running during his adventures, showed a distance of about 200 kilometers. That’s roughly the length of a stage in the Tour de France, the largest bicycle race in the world.
Some Pokémon seem to only be able to be caught in certain regions – rumor has it:
- Tauros only in North America,
- Mr. Mime only in Europe,
- Farfetch’d only in Asia, and
- Kangaskhan only in Australia
Some players report that they have found these Pokémon outside the specified regions – however, the Pokémon hatched from eggs.

Regionally-limited Pokémon
In the Reddit post, ftb_Hodor was asked if he plans to catch the remaining Pokémon. Even though these are regionally limited, it would certainly be an important step to complete the Pokédex. Hodor joked at first that flights to Europe and Asia were already booked, but then added that he does not plan to chase the regionally limited Pokémon. He believes that these Pokémon really only exist in certain regions, as he talked to many trainers who had a similar Pokédex as he did.
By the time he has been to the regions to catch the Pokémon, the announced trading feature in the game would probably be implemented, which would make a larger Pokémon journey unnecessary.
