When does the event start? It kicks off today, on April 12th at 11:00 AM. You can benefit from the bonuses for 3 hours, just like on Community Day.
What bonuses does the GO Battle Day bring? The focus is on the Pokémon Marill. However, there are also additional adjustments:
- After the first and third victory in the PvP league, you are guaranteed to encounter Marill
- If you use a Premium Pass, you will even encounter Marill after every victory
- You can complete a total of 20 battle sets today, instead of the usual 5 – that’s a total of 100 battles
What about Shiny Marill? Trainers report that the chance of encountering Shiny Marill seems to be increased. Some players estimate a probability of 1 in 20. So you have good chances of catching a shiny variant.
Which Pokémon should you take into battle? The Master League is currently active in the PvP league. You can use Pokémon without CP restrictions.

There seems to be a bug: Niantic support reports on Twitter that there is a bug when trying to claim the reward in the league.
Simply restart the app, and the reward will be ready for collection.
