Pokémon GO has announced the next Safari Zone in Taiwan. Even though the event is far away, you will likely also benefit from it.
What kind of Safari Zone is this? This event is comparable to a GO Fest. For a few days, rare Pokémon will spawn more frequently at a specific location and many Shinys will also appear.

Safari Zone in Taiwan – What it means for you
Which Pokémon are there? Anyone traveling to Taipei City can look forward to some Pokémon. The announcement image features the following monsters:
- Myrapla
- Icognito
- Azumarill
- Skaraborn
- Smettbo
What do players worldwide get? So far, nothing has been officially announced, but it is likely to be Shiny Myrapla. It is the only logical Pokémon in the image that currently does not exist as Shiny.
So far, there has been a new Shiny at every Safari Zone that was then released worldwide. This always happened on the same weekend.
When does the Safari Zone take place? This event will take place in October. In September, there will be a Safari Zone in Canada.
The Safari Zone in Taiwan will take place from October 3 to October 6.
When will the Shiny be available? The Shinys for the Safari Zones have always been available on the weekend. This would then be October 5 and 6.
This is important: So far, only the Safari Zone itself has been confirmed. It is still only speculated that Myrapla will come as shiny. However, this seems very likely since similar events unfolded in the same way.
