When does the event start? On June 7, 2018, at 10:00 PM German time
When does the event end? On June 21, 2018, presumably at 10:00 PM.
Which monsters spawn more frequently? Niantic explains in the description that water Pokémon such as Magikarp or Wailmer will appear more frequently in the wild. Additionally, Niantic emphasizes that there is a chance to catch a shiny Shellder.
In addition, new field research on water is available to trainers until June 21.
More candies and stardust: If you catch water Pokémon during the event, you will receive three times the amount of stardust. Because there will be an extraordinary number of water monsters in the wild during the event, you should be able to stock up well.
Water monsters from 2KM eggs: You can find water-themed monsters not only more frequently in the wild. They also appear more frequently from 2KM eggs. The developers point out that monsters such as Croagunk, Piplup, or Krabby can hatch from them during the event.
You will also receive double the candies and double the stardust for each egg that hatches.
Kyogre is back!
A surprise for many trainers: The legendary Pokémon Kyogre returns as a raid boss during the event to the gyms. And it even comes in shiny form!
