The first players could challenge the attack form of Deoxys in the EX Raid in Pokémon GO. Many players also defeated the Pokémon alone.
We have already assumed it and the suspicion was confirmed: The new form of Deoxys can be defeated alone. After needing two players for the normal form, you can now achieve the attack form entirely by yourself.
Numerous videos have been uploaded on Reddit showing how easily the new Deoxys can be defeated. We show you a selection of the videos.
It’s so easy to defeat Deoxys alone
How do you defeat Deoxys alone? The mysterious Pokémon is of Psychic type. Bug, Dark, and Ghost are effective against it. The best counters are Tyranitar and Mewtwo.
This is shown in videos: Many players attempted to face Deoxys alone and succeeded. The following video shows that Deoxys can even be defeated easily. Over 80 seconds remained when Deoxys was defeated.
Victory without Charged Attack: Another trainer took the solo attempt to the next level. Completely without a charged attack, the player defeated Deoxys. He used an army of Tyranitars.
There were still about 30 seconds left. There was even room for improvement.
Why is it so easy? The attack form of Deoxys lives up to its name and has an extremely high attack value. However, its defense suffers. Even a Caterpie has better defense than Deoxys. Therefore, the Pokémon is very vulnerable and can be easily defeated.
Can I do it too? In theory, any player can defeat Deoxys alone. Even with a team of Tyranitars from raids, meaning at level 20, you could take down Deoxys solo. If you have a weather bonus, that is, if it’s foggy, even weaker Tyranitars could bring the new EX Raid Boss to its knees.

This is special: Deoxys is the first level 5 raid that can be defeated alone. Moltres was also able to be defeated alone during the Moltres day, but that was only a level 4 raid. Therefore, this is a premiere to conquer a level 5 raid alone.
Many legendary Pokémon have already been defeated in pairs. These include Giratina, Cresselia, or Heatran.
Have you already hatched the new baby Pokémon? With this probability, you get them from the eggs:
