The Christmas event in Pokémon GO brings far more new Pokémon than expected. We show you which Pokémon are new.
The new event brings at least 12 new Pokémon, significantly more than initially thought. Since December 18 at 10 PM, trainers around the world can catch or hatch a bunch of new Pokémon. Additionally, there are three new Shinys.

New Pokémon like Pionskora and Shnebedeck
You can find new Pokémon in the wild and in eggs. Furthermore, there are increased spawns of ice-type Pokémon. Some of these monsters are now available for the first time as Shiny.

- you can obtain the evolution Piondragi by using 50 candies
- Finneon
- you can obtain the evolution Lumineon by using 50 candies
- Bronzel
- you can obtain the evolution Bronzong by using 50 candies

- you can obtain the evolution Toxiquak by using 50 candies
- Shnebedeck
- you can obtain the evolution Rexblisar by using 50 candies
New Shinys in Pokémon GO
Trainers confirmed the following Shiny finds:

- Azumarill

The gift-bringer Botogel also appears in its Shiny form:

The Pikachu with Christmas hat (and Christmas Pichu from the egg) have also been confirmed with Shiny form.
