Thank You Event in November
In the official message from the developers, it states that they want to say “thank you” with this event. Their goal is to awaken the spirit of discovery in people while promoting physical activity. The developers are amazed that hundreds of millions of people around the world have decided to play Pokémon GO. As a thank you, there will be a community event starting in just a few days.
On November 23rd at 01:00 AM, the big thank you event will start in time for Thanksgiving. You can receive the bonuses of this event until November 30th at 01:00 AM.
During this event, the developers will reward you with double experience points and double the amount of stardust. You will receive both by completing in-game actions. When patch 0.47.1 was released, we already suspected a Thanksgiving event for Pokémon GO.
