Tomorrow the Summer Concert starts in Pokémon GO. Besides hunting for a Shiny, you should also turn on the game’s music.
What kind of event is this? The Summer Concert is an event that brings you, in addition to various Pokémon, one main thing: special music. And it comes from none other than Junichi Masuda, the composer of the Pokémon games. So you should activate the music in the game if you haven’t done so already.
The event starts on Saturday, July 19, 2025, and runs until Tuesday, July 22, 2025. It does not run all day, but only from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
What to expect at the event
Which Pokémon has an increased Shiny chance? Chatot, the Pokémon from Generation 4 with the types Normal and Flying, has an increased chance to appear as a Shiny during the event. You can find it by using Incense at PokéStops.
What bonuses are there at the event? The event focuses on Incense. Therefore, the bonuses are as follows:
- Incense activated during the event lasts 1 hour
- Incense attracts special Pokémon
- increased chance for Shiny Chatot at Incense
Which Pokémon are at the event? While other events feature special monsters in the wild or in raids, this event is different. Here you can only lure the following monsters if you use an Incense at a PokéStop:
- Jigglypuff*
- Lotad*
- Zangoose*
- Chatot*
- Swablu*
- eF-eM*
- Spheal*
If you’re hunting for Stardust, you should especially catch Swablu as soon as you see it. This monster is one of those that gives you more Stardust when caught. You will receive a hefty 2,100 Stardust for each specimen you catch.
All Pokémon marked with a * can also be encountered in their Shiny form.
What monsters are in field research? If you complete event field research, you can encounter Pandir. The Pandir you receive this way cannot have the coveted heart pattern.
