Pokémon GO event with Furfrou, Eevee and more.
A mini-event is now active for trainers in Pokémon GO. As Niantic reveals on social media, you will receive additional Stardust for two days. The event is related to the Lunar New Year 2018.
This is about the Chinese New Year, which annually switches between different animals. Depending on the year, the horse, rat, rabbit, or tiger might be in focus. The designation for the New Year 2018 is “Dog.” And for this reason, there are bonuses for the following (dog-like) Pokémon:
- Furfrou
- Eevee
- Snubbull
- Rockruff
- Furfrou
Anyone who catches one of the listed monsters between February 15 (10:00 PM German time) and February 17 (10:00 PM German time) receives extra Stardust as a reward for the catch.
It seems there is also a special Shiny Pokémon available during this event. Trainers are reporting about Shiny Rockruff that can be caught in the wild.
Valentine’s Day event extended
In addition to the new event, you can still participate in the Valentine’s Day event. It was supposed to end on February 15 at 10:00 PM, but it has now been extended by 24 hours.
