Today, on March 12, 2024, the Spotlight Hour with Nidoran starts in Pokémon GO. In this guide, we show you everything about the times, shinies, and the bonuses of this short event.
What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday evening, Pokémon GO holds a Spotlight Hour for you. During the duration of 60 minutes, a Pokémon along with a bonus is in focus. The combination of Pokémon and bonus that is active is determined by Niantic at the beginning of each month.
Today, you will encounter the Pokémon Nidoran (female) from the first generation. It is a Poison-type Pokémon and can evolve into Nidorina and Nidoqueen.
Spotlight Hour on March 12 – Start, Shiny, and Bonuses
When does it start? As you know from previous Spotlight Hours, the event also starts today at 6:00 PM local time. For one hour, the contents will be active for you. The event will end at 7:00 PM.
Which bonuses are active? During the event, you will see wild Nidoran almost everywhere in Pokémon GO. If you want to attract even more of these Pokémon, you can use incense.
Additionally, you will receive double Stardust for catching Pokémon.
Today marks the second Spotlight Hour in March 2024. Here we have summarized the upcoming RL hours for you this month:
Can you catch Shiny Nidoran? Yes, the shiny form of Nidoran has been available in Pokémon GO for a long time. With a bit of luck, you can catch it during the event today. Keep in mind that the chances of shinies during Spotlight Hours are not increased.
Is it worth participating in the Spotlight Hour today? Nidoran and its evolutions are not particularly strong fighters in either PvP or raids. In the Great League, Nidoqueen is decent, but there are some better alternatives.
What is definitely worth it for you is the Stardust bonus. Even if you don’t need the Pokémon, participating can make sense for you. This way, you can easily replenish your supply today.
Will you participate in today’s Spotlight Hour? Feel free to share your thoughts about it here on MeinMMO in the comments and discuss them with other trainers.
