What kind of event is this? The Spotlight Hour is a regular event that takes place every Tuesday. There is one or more Pokémon that are in focus and appear in large numbers.

In the next Spotlight Hour, Goldeen will be in the foreground. The Pokémon from the 3rd generation has the types Bug and Water and can evolve into Seaking.
Spotlight Hour on November 5 – Start Time and Bonuses
When does the Spotlight Hour start? As usual, the Spotlight Hour starts at 6:00 PM and lasts for one hour. It ends at 7:00 PM.
Which bonuses are active? If you send Pokémon to the Professor during the event, you will receive double the amount of candies. This means you will receive 2 candies for each Pokémon sent.
Can you catch Shiny Goldeen? Yes, if you’re lucky, you might encounter the Shiny variant of Goldeen.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it? Neither Goldeen nor its evolution are strong attackers to rely on. Unfortunately, both Pokémon do not belong to the best attackers in Pokémon GO in the Battle League and Raids.
If your Pokémon box is full and you’ve been wanting to send excess monsters for a while, then the bonus from the Spotlight Hour provides the perfect opportunity for that. With the double amount of candies you receive, you can rack up quite a few extra candies.
