In Pokémon GO there is a new special research called ‘Path to Sinnoh’. There, you can choose between Diamond and Pearl. We will show you the contents.
What kind of research is this? The new research ‘GO Tour 2024: Path to Sinnoh’ premiered on Thursday, February 15 at 10:00 AM. This research is a direct preparation for the global Sinnoh Tour, which takes place at the end of February.
Throughout the research, you can choose the ‘Pearl’ or ‘Diamond’ path, which will immediately bring you certain bonuses, but will also affect your bonuses at the Sinnoh Tour.

GO Tour 2024: Path to Sinnoh – Choose between Pearl or Diamond
Here you decide on a path towards the Sinnoh Tour. This is primarily about the primal forms of Dialga and Palkia and their special moves – more on that here.
"Diamond" bonuses for the global Sinnoh Tour:
- You will encounter primal Dialga in the raids during the Sinnoh Tour, guaranteed to know the special move ‘Roar of Time’
- The duration of Roar of Time will be doubled during the event
- You will receive Dialga candies
Roar of Time can also be used outside of battles. For 5,000 Stardust and 5 Dialga candies, this extends the item timer of incense, daily adventure incense, lucky eggs, and star pieces by 6 minutes. This effect can be stacked.
"Pearl" bonuses for the global Sinnoh Tour:
- You will encounter primal Palkia in the raids during the Sinnoh Tour, guaranteed to know the special move ‘Spatial Rend’
- The duration of Spatial Rend will be doubled during the event
- You will receive Palkia candies
Spatial Rend can also be used outside of battles. For 5,000 Stardust and 5 Palkia candies, you can increase the encounter radius for 10 minutes. You can stack this effect as well.
The respective special move from the other version is not guaranteed during the Sinnoh Tour when you battle against the Pokémon in raids.
