As a surprise, Lugia is available in a special form in Pokémon GO. Additionally, the raid bosses have changed. We show you who you can now face at the various difficulty levels of the raids.
After many legendary bosses, there is now the first one in its shiny form. This means that the monster has visually changed and has, for example, different colors. Trainers confirmed that Lugia can be caught as a shiny variant. In addition, the catch chance for this special monster is said to be extremely high.
Additionally, after the wind event, the raid bosses have slightly changed again.
Shiny Lugia – Catch Chance
There is reason to rejoice for all collectors of special Pokémon. On the night of March 16 to 17, trainers confirmed that you can catch the powerful flying/psychic Pokémon in its reddish shiny form.
On Reddit, several trainers have already confirmed with screenshots that such a catch is possible. The following image comes from SpaceQueef:
The chance of this shiny escaping you is also extremely low. On social networks, research is currently being eagerly conducted. According to initial reports, the catch chance for a shiny Lugia seems to be at 100%. One of the videos that is supposed to prove this shows:
- a straight ball throw
- use of the pinap berry
- no throw bonus
- and still the monster is caught
Please let us know if you have other experiences and if the chance should not be at 100%.
