This coming weekend, you can participate in a Safari Zone at Pokémon GO in Westfalenpark in Dortmund. Additionally, a global event is starting!
When does the Safari Zone in Dortmund start? The Safari event in Westfalenpark is active on June 30 and July 1.
What can trainers expect on-site? Trainers will experience a special event and can catch Pokémon that are rarely found in Europe. Westfalenpark is one of the largest urban parks in Europe.
Pokémon GO with Unown and Surskit in Germany
Special bonuses are active: During the event, lure modules will be activated at all PokéStops in Westfalenpark throughout the day. If you spin the Photo Discs there, you will receive special 2KM Eggs.
Rare Pokémon: In the event area in Dortmund, Pokémon like Unown and Surskit will also appear in the wild. For collectors, this is an ideal opportunity to enhance their PokéDex with these special monsters.
No gyms, no raids: There will be no gym battles in Westfalenpark, as they are not available during this time. This also means that there will be no raids during the Safari Zone in Dortmund in Westfalenpark.
Food and drinks are provided: If you want to relax, head to one of the Team Lounges in the park. There you will find charging stations for smartphones, snacks, and drinks.
No entry fee: The event is free for all trainers.
There are also Shinys: Worldwide, Roselia, the Grass and Poison Pokémon, will appear more frequently. With a bit of luck, you might catch Shiny Roselia. Niantic confirmed that the shiny form of Roselia will be available to catch during the Safari Zone in Dortmund. The exact time for worldwide catching activation is still unclear.
