This weekend, you have the chance to win tickets for the CentrO in Oberhausen. There, a Pokémon GO Safari is being celebrated.
A Safari event in Pokémon GO will take place in Germany in a few days. Originally, only 4000 tickets were planned, but they were quickly sold out. Now there are another 250 tickets available for you. Through a raffle, you have the chance to win the coveted tickets.
Win CentrO Safari Tickets
The ticket distribution for the Safari event in Oberhausen was reportedly unfair according to many trainers and caused bad vibes. Those who did not get a ticket for the event now have another chance to win one through a raffle. On Facebook, the CentrO explained that they have secured 250 tickets that they will distribute among trainers through a raffle.
The requirement for participating in the raffle is membership in the CentrO Oberhausen loyalty program. You can easily complete this before participating. With the email address you used for the loyalty program, you will then sign up for the raffle.
The raffle runs from September 8, 2017, to September 10, 2017. To enter the raffle, you can simply click on the linked Facebook post.
What happens at the Safari event in Oberhausen?
The Safari Zone events take place in various cities across Europe. In Germany, the event is on September 16 in Oberhausen, which is near Düsseldorf.
As participants of the events, you will be rewarded with special in-game medals and special 2km eggs that you will find at the PokéStops within the shopping center. Additionally, lure modules will be active all day so you can catch rare Pokémon like Kangaskhan, Chansey, Larvitar, and many more.

However, there will be no gym and raid battles in the shopping centers during the event.
Rare Pokémon even without a ticket
Trainers who were unable to snag tickets do not have to miss out on rare Pokémon. In the cities where the respective events are held, various Pokémon from the Safari event will be available.
Whether “all” rare Pokémon that also spawn in the shopping center are meant remains uncertain. While the English message states
- “… discover and catch some of the Pokémon found at the Pokémon GO Safari Zones …”,
the German translation states
- “…have the opportunity to discover the various Pokémon of the Pokémon GO Safari Zone event in the cities of the respective shopping centers and catch them.”
The translation leaves a lot of room for speculation. Therefore, we cannot say with certainty which Pokémon you can encounter without a ticket.
