Pokémon GO brings you a feature that rewards you and your friends with more rewards – again.
In Pokémon GO, there are many ways to earn rewards. These include time-limited researches, field researches, or the GO Pass.
Now a feature is activated in the game that rewards you for playing with friends. It doesn’t matter whether you are near them or not. The curious thing is: the feature isn’t really new.

What is this feature? The feature is the weekly challenges. You have one week each time to complete a challenge together with up to 3 of your friends. One such task could be to spin 250 PokéStops or Gyms together in a week.
If you successfully complete a weekly challenge, you will receive additional progress towards your friendship level with your friends, 20,000 experience points, and 6,000 Stardust. If you do not manage to complete the task in time, you will still receive a partial reward in the form of Stardust.
The feature was already activated in Pokémon GO in mid-October. However, due to problems, it was turned off just one day later and affected players were compensated. Now there is a new attempt to bring the feature into the game.
When will the feature be released? According to a post on the official Pokémon GO account on X, the feature will be gradually activated starting today. First, it will be available in New Zealand. When exactly it will be available for you is not known in detail.
However, it shouldn’t take long before the feature is available to all players worldwide, again.
Where can I find the feature? Once the feature is activated, you can find it by clicking on your picture in the game. There, the tab “Groups” will be replaced by “Team” where you will also find the option to participate in the weekly challenges.
