Niantic, the creators of Pokémon GO, are an official partner of the MAG in Erfurt. This gives players in Germany the opportunity to catch new Icognito, which are often available in Erfurt.
What is the MAG? The MAG is an anime and animation convention in Erfurt. It takes place from October 5th to 7th at the city’s exhibition center.
What do Pokémon GO players get from the fair? Niantic has its own booth at the fair. The team has come up with many things for players for the fair days.
4 forms of Icognito to catch
When Niantic staff are guests at a fair, it is now normal for them to bring along Icognito forms. Icognito are the Pokémon that look like letters or punctuation marks. Rare Icognito form: This is now also the case in Erfurt. The forms M, A, G and ! can be caught all over the exhibition grounds. They appear in Erfurt and the surrounding area. Particularly, the Icognito that looks like an exclamation mark is extremely rare.
Incense modules on the grounds: Alongside the Icognito, players will find PokéStops throughout the grounds where incense modules are activated.
Raid bus with YouTubers: In a press release, Niantic announced that trainers have the opportunity to go on a raid tour with the YouTubers “PietSmiet” and “Sturmwaffel”. Players can register for this bus tour through Erfurt. The bus will then visit gyms with raids.
The buses run on Friday and Saturday from 3 PM to 4 PM.
Trade meetings with other players: Niantic has also organized so-called trade meetings. Trainers can meet and trade Pokémon with each other. Additionally, you can meet Fumi Yamasaki, the Niantic Community Manager for Asia.
The first trade meeting started on Friday morning and lasts until 1 PM. On Saturday, you have the opportunity to participate again between 2 PM and 4 PM.
Trade meetings with influencers: You also have the opportunity to trade your Pokémon with YouTubers and Twitch streamers. You will participate in a lottery to win this chance. With a bit of luck, you could meet Sturmwaffel as well as Chris, Br4mm3n, and SEP from the PietSmiet collective for a trade.
This trade meeting takes place on Friday, October 5th, from 9 AM to 2 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM.
In addition to the MAG, another event for all trainers starts tonight.
