When does the Spotlight Hour start? The Spotlight Hour starts on December 16th at 6:00 PM. You can dive into the Pokémon in the spotlight for 60 minutes.
Which Pokémon is in the spotlight? The Fighting Pokémon Lin-Fu is on the way. It is a Fighting-type Pokémon that can evolve into Wie-Shu.
Can Lin-Fu be shiny? Yes, you can catch shiny Lin-Fu. However, the shiny rate is not increased, so you will need a lot of luck.
What bonus is active? During the Spotlight Hour, you will receive double the number of candies for each catch.
Is Lin-Fu worth it during the Spotlight Hour?
How strong is Lin-Fu? Unfortunately, not very strong. Its evolution Wie-Shu has minimal chances in the current battle league meta and is therefore not a particularly good choice for PvP in Pokémon GO.
And even in raids or gyms, there are simply better Fighting-type Pokémon that you should use. So, if you are looking for a strong fighter, unfortunately, Lin-Fu is not the right choice.
Is the bonus worth it? Yes, the double candy catch bonus is useful as it also applies to all other Pokémon besides Lin-Fu. So you can also earn extra candies from the following monsters:
- Pokémon from research tasks
- Pokémon from Dyna battles
- Pokémon from raids
