Raikou is one of the strongest Electric Pokémon in Pokémon GO. We will show you how to counter and catch the legendary Pokémon in this Raikou guide.
Through the rotation of the legendary beasts, we will encounter Raikou in Europe in November. For a month, we can try to catch many monsters of this species, thus upgrading our Pokémon collection. November 30 is likely to be the last day we can encounter the Pokémon. If Niantic does not extend the event, Entei, Suicune, and Raikou will retreat again.

Raikou Max CP and Weaknesses
The Electric part of the feline trio has the highest CP. As a boss, Raikou has a maximum of 42932 CP and after being caught, at most 1913 CP (at level 20 with perfect IVs).
It is recommended to have 6-7 trainers for the battle against Raikou. Similar to Suicune and Entei, it will also be possible to succeed against Raikou with fewer trainers. However, you should have strong counter Pokémon, which we present to you here in the article.
Raikou has already been defeated by four trainers (level 30+) who all used Rhydon. They mastered a moveset of Mud-Slap and Earthquake.
Raikou Raid Counters
If you want to succeed in the battle against Raikou, you need strong counters. Due to its pure Electric type, Raikou is especially weak against Ground-type Pokémon. Therefore, Rhydon, Golem, or Donphan are suitable. An important attack is Earthquake.

Catching Raikou
