In Pokémon GO starts this evening a raid hour with Terrakion. We provide an overview of counters, usability, and the times.
What is a raid hour? This event takes place regularly on Wednesday evenings. You can find an increased number of legendary raids for one hour.
This evening the hour will take place for the first time with the legendary Pokémon Terrakion. The monster has only been in the raids since last night.
Everything about the raid hour with Terrakion
When does the raid hour start? The event starts at 6 PM and lasts exactly one hour. 20 minutes before 6 PM, black eggs will appear on the gyms.
If a raid is already running on a gym and ends before 7 PM, a Terrakion will also appear there. Gyms that have just triggered an EX raid are excluded from this.
Use these counters against Terrakion: The legendary Pokémon has 7 weaknesses. The types Fighting, Ground, Grass, Water, Psychic, Steel, and Fairy are effective. The best counters are Mewtwo and Metagross.
A detailed list of the best counters can be found in our guide to Terrakion.
How many players do you need? You can defeat Terrakion with just two players. But ideally, the weather should cooperate. Otherwise, you can defeat the legendary Pokémon quite easily with three players. Level 25 is already sufficient for that.
How good will Terrakion be? The monster will be one of the best Rock attackers in the game. It competes with Rampardos for the throne. So it’s worth doing a few Terrakion raids.
An analysis of the usability can be found in another article on MeinMMO.
What about further raid hours? On reddit some players report that they received push notifications stating that there is a raid hour every Wednesday.

You can therefore assume that we will be able to battle Terrakion more frequently on Wednesdays in the coming weeks.
