The next raid day for Pokémon GO has been announced. A new Mega Pokémon will make its debut.
When does the event take place? The raid day will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. During this time, Mega Raids will occur in many gyms.
Which Pokémon is making its debut? On this raid day, you can challenge, defeat, and catch Mega-Flunkifer for the first time. This Pokémon represents the Mega Evolution of Flunkifer and has the types Fairy and Steel.
Additionally, you can find the monster as a shiny for the first time at the event. Shiny hunters should keep an eye on this event. This is, alongside the 4 new legendary shinies that have already made their way into the game this month, already the 5th new shiny in a short time.
All information on the raid day with Mega-Flunkifer
What bonuses are available during the event? The following bonuses will be active for you during the event.
- Mega-Flunkifer appears more frequently in raids
- increased chance to encounter a shiny Flunkifer after raids
- up to five additional free raid passes from gyms
- Remote raid limit increased to 20 (from October 12, 2024, at 2:00 AM, until October 13, 2024, at 5:00 AM)
To make the most of the free raid passes, you should participate in a raid against Mega-Flunkifer on this day, spin the gym disc, and then move on to the next raid.
You can repeat this as long as you have used all the additional raid passes.
How do you obtain Mega-Flunkifer? After successfully completing a raid against Mega-Flunkifer, you can only catch the regular variant of the Pokémon. However, depending on how quickly the raid was defeated, you will receive Mega Energy for Flunkifer.
If you have collected enough Mega Energy, you can then trigger the Mega Evolution for Flunkifer.
Event ticket: For $5 (approximately €5), you can also purchase an additional ticket for the event. If you do so, you will receive additional bonuses that apply on October 12, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

- increased chance for XL special candies during raid battles
- 50% more experience points for raid battles
- double amount of stardust for raid battles
