Dataminers have found new clues about Team Rocket and their leader Giovanni in the files of Pokémon GO. He could soon intervene in the events.
What has been discovered: Dataminers found the item “Giovanni_Map” in the game files. There is not much more information about this item yet, but speculation surrounding it is huge. The same item was also found for the 3 team leaders of Team Rocket. Here, the item is called “Leader_Map”.
Additionally, individual files for each day of the week were discovered, which allude to an invasion by Team Rocket. So it could be that each day of the week is controlled separately and receives a Rocket invasion.

What could the map mean? It’s possible that the map could be used to find Giovanni or the Rocket team leaders nearby and then attack.
The player Frankuro sees a connection to another AR game. In Draconius GO there was also a map that transported you to another world. He could imagine that this map could immerse players in the world of Crypto-Pokémon.
Especially interesting is that for the team leaders’ maps, text files have also been found that are called “Leader_Map_Fragment”. This means that one might first have to search for fragments of a map before being able to use it.
What do these pieces of information mean now? For now, these are findings from dataminers. Officially, there’s been nothing from Niantic about this yet. Therefore, one must always consider them with some caution, as the developers can still change a lot here.
