In Pokémon GO the Halloween event is happening, and tomorrow the second phase starts. We will show you what’s going on.
The map has changed, spooky music from Lavender Town plays in the background, ghost Pokémon are wandering around the neighborhood: You can tell, the Halloween event is going on in Pokémon GO.
So far, we have only been able to play the first part of the event. Now it continues with part 2!
When does part 2 start? Halloween part 2 starts on Monday, October 27th, at 10:00 AM. It concludes on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, at 8:00 PM.
And what’s included? We summarize that for you below. However, the most exciting highlight is October 31st – Halloween itself. On this day, you can get special candies and XL special candies when catching costumed Pokémon if you land good, great, or excellent catches. However, this is only with “very much luck,” according to the announcement – so you should catch as many Pokémon as possible.

Costumed Pokémon: In terms of costumes, you can encounter a Teddiursa with a witch hat in the wild, which can evolve into Ursaring or Ursaluna with a witch hat. Also, eF-eM is roaming around with a hairband, which can evolve into UHaFnir with a hairband.
The following costumed Pokémon are also available in raids:
- Pikachu with Halloween Mischief costume
- Plinfa with Halloween Mischief costume
- Gengar with Halloween costume*
- Drifzepeli with Halloween Mischief costume*
In field research, the following are possible:
- Pikachu with Halloween Mischief costume*
- Teddiursa with witch hat*
- Froxy with witch hat*
- eF-eM with hairband*
- Bauz with Halloween top hat*
You will also encounter Kryppuk in field research and can collect Mega Energy.
Increased shiny chance after raids: For costumed Pokémon, you get an increased shiny chance when you defeat and catch them in a raid. Also, the cup Pokémon Fatalitee has an increased shiny chance in raids.
Increased shiny chance in the wild: This applies to Teddiursa and eF-eM.
Milestones in the GO Pass: In the Halloween Pass, you receive various bonuses at specific milestones.
