Now Niantic has released the third Shiny Ghost in Pokémon GO. Take advantage of the last hours of the event quickly!
Currently, the Halloween event is taking place in Pokémon GO, rewarding participating trainers with monsters from the third generation. In the wild, you will now frequently encounter Sableye, Drifloon, or Shuppet. Their evolutions, Drifblim and Banette, are also new in the game.
Especially rare Shiny specimens are now available from another Gen 3 ghost.
Shiny Shuppet in Pokémon GO
Since the evening of October 31, reports about Shiny Shuppet in Pokémon GO have been increasing. On Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit , many trainers are writing that they have found one of the rare specimens in the wild. This also means that the evolution “Banette” is in its Shiny form in the game. Because when you evolve a Shiny monster, their evolutions are also Shiny.
This confirms that Shuppet can now also be found in Shiny form in Pokémon GO, and you can start your search. In the following photo, you can see a comparison between the normal and the Shiny variant.
This update means that all Gen 3 ghosts can now be found in their Shiny form in Pokémon GO. The sprites for the ghosts were already found in the game’s code before the event. A summary can be seen in the following image:
We wish you lots of luck catching this rare monster. So far, there are no exact figures, but it is assumed that the chance of finding a Shiny Shuppet is 1 in 256. This chance also exists for the other Shinies of Gen 3.
Halloween Event Ends on November 2
This year’s Halloween event in Pokémon GO runs until November 2. So you still have a few hours to search for the Shiny variants of Sableye, Drifloon and Shuppet. Currently, it is believed that the ghosts will then disappear at the end of the event and will no longer be found in the wild.
