In Pokémon GO there are 2 new offer boxes in the shop, but they are not available to everyone. Especially beginners are meant to benefit from them.
What are these boxes? These offers can be found in the in-game shop of Pokémon GO. However, not everyone can find them, as experienced players cannot benefit from the boxes. These boxes are not unknown, as they were already found in the code in Update 0.157.0.
The offers are called “Beginner Box” and “New Trainer Box.” It is not entirely clear whether they are two different boxes or if one is mistakenly offered, as they cost about the same, but provide significantly less content.
New Offer Boxes for Beginners – Are They Worth It?
What’s inside the boxes? The content is the same, but the quantity differs greatly. There are hardly any differences in terms of price.

Which box is good? There’s no need for a detailed analysis to see that the New Trainer Box is significantly better. Here you only pay 10 cents more, but get much more in return.
Just the 4 Raid Passes cost 400 coins in the shop, which have an approximate value of €4. So it’s an enormous saving that you get here.
Who can buy the boxes? It is still not entirely clear. Players who have had the game since 2016 report that they can buy the boxes. So they are not new players.
But even players at level 40 can buy the boxes. This means that level cannot be the deciding factor.
Are the boxes intentional? The offers are definitely not a bug. It is just questionable whether a price difference of 10 cents really makes such a significant difference in content.
It could be that Niantic will adjust this again. If you can, you should buy the New Trainer Box, as it is extremely worthwhile and might be improved further.
What is special? These are the first boxes that you can only buy with real money. Until now, you only had to invest coins for this, and you get 50 coins per day. Those who diligently save can use them to buy other boxes.
